Sometimes when arming your system, you may come across this error:
This is a mechanism to inform you before arming if your system has any faults. This can be a very helpful feature that alerts you about a door/window being left open and ultimately, leaving your house unsafe.
But you can modify this process and control if you want to receive the warning message or not.
All you need to do is:
- Open a web browser and login to my.goabode.com
- Click on Account
- Click on System Settings
- Scroll to the "Arm Fault Settings", make your changes as needed and click on the "Apply" button
An Overview
Confirm Arming (default) - Requires the user to confirm arming when using the Web or mobile app when faults exist. No indication of fault will show on timeline when Confirm arming is chosen.
For example:
This option will always prompt you with a "Continue to arm" message if your door/window is left open or there's a fault detected within the Gateway/Devices.
NOTE: If using the key-fob or keypad to arm, the user must arm twice when faults exist.
Direct Arming - Does NOT require user to confirm arming when using the web or mobile app when faults exist. If faults are present when arming, they will be listed on the timeline when Direct arming is chosen.
For example:
If you don't want a warning message for an open door/window every time you arm your system, this is the recommended option.
NOTE: User will NOT need to arm twice if using the key-fob or keypad to arm when faults exist.
