The Abode color bulb operates on AC 110V- 120V~60 Hz and uses a type A19 standard USA E26 base socket. It will not work on 220V.
Abode Color Bulbs require a full time Wi-Fi internet connection that communicates to the internet using 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi network. The 5GHz Wi-Fi networks are not supported by the Abode bulbs.
To activate and the bulb, it requires the Abode mobile app (IOS or Android) installed on a smartphone with Bluetooth enabled. The Bluetooth on the smartphone is used only during the first-time setup phase.
The Abode bulb will work without having an Abode Gateway or Iota hub however, if you have a Abode Gateway or Iota, the bulbs can be paired with ether of them so that all of the Abode security devices and automation features can be utilized with the bulbs. Once installed, the bulb will only need the 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi network and the Abode app to operate the bulb.

Manually turn the light on and off 3 times. The Abode bulb should start to pulse blue.
Open the app then tap on the three menu bars in the upper left corner of the screen, then tap on add device and choose the Smart home option, then the Abode Color Bulb.
The app screen should be at Step 1.
Step 1:
Install light bulb into the desired socket and turn on light switch (once installed the switch will need to stay powered on.)
Step 2:
(Select your Wi-Fi network) that will be used when the bulb is in its final location.
(Make sure you’re entering the correct password)
You will need to choose the Wi-Fi network that you want the bulb to connect to once it’s installed. If the bulb is too far from the network, it will stop working.

Troubles and Issues:
If the Abode bulb has lost communications with the Abode server, then the user will not be able to control the bulb. This may be related to a WiFi range issue, or power to the bulb has been shut off (Maybe on a wall switch) or the local internet is temporarily not available.
In most cases if the internet is lost, the bulb will recover once the internet becomes available. If not, and the internet is working and the bulb is powered on, then the user should power the bulb off and back on one time, then wait for 5 minutes to see if it can be controlled with the Abode App. If not, then the bulb needs to be partially re- paired to the gateway.
Repairing a bulb connection issue:
First, do not delete the bulb from the Abode App.
Power the bulb off and back on three times or until the bulb starts blinking blue.
Then start the process of paring the bulb starting at Step 1 (See above) then at Step4: The bulb should change to a steady white. When this occurs, the user can exit out of the pairing process and should be able to control the bulb with the app.
In some cases, this may not work, and the bulb will need to be factory reset.
Simply have the user delete the bulb from the app, then power the bulb off and back on three times or until the bulb starts blinking blue. Then start the pairing process form step 1 to step 6.
