IFTTT (If This Then That) gives you creative control over popular apps, devices, and services. With the Abode channel on IFTTT, you can interact with and control other channels based on Abode device statuses, alarm modes, and more.
IFTTT works by connecting channels together with custom recipes that you define. Once you have an IFTTT account and an Abode account, you can authorize the Abode IFTTT channel to perform actions based on events in your home. For example: if an alarm activates, you can instruct IFTTT to send a notification, post to a social channel, or turn on smart lights.
What You Need to Get Started
• An active Abode account connected to an Abode hub (Iota or Security Hub)
• An IFTTT account
• A successful account link at IFTTT.com granting access to both Abode and IFTTT
Setup Guide
Head to the Abode channel at IFTTT (https://ifttt.com/abode) and tap the "Connect" button. You can also browse popular recipes that other users have created to get started quickly.
Using IFTTT to Trigger Abode Quick Actions
