What is included in the Iota Kit?

The Iota Kit includes an Iota Hub (with integrated motion sensor, HD camera, 93dB siren, and two-way voice), a Mini Door/Window Sensor, a Key Fob, and all the cables and accessories you need to get started.

What do I need to set up my Iota system?

For initial setup you will need an iOS or Android smartphone or tablet, an AC power outlet, and a spare Ethernet port on your internet router. Once setup is complete, you can move the Iota to Wi-Fi and place it anywhere in your home.

How do I customize Hub sounds?

1. In the Abode app, tap the Menu icon.

2. Tap System Settings, then Sound Settings.

3. Adjust any sound setting from here. Tap Mute All Sounds to disable all Hub sounds at once.

How do I customize the arming modes?

You can choose which devices are active in each mode (Away, Home, Standby) on a device-by-device basis.

1. In the Abode app, tap the Devices tab.

2. Tap the device you want to configure.

3. Under Choose When Sensor is Active, set your preference for each mode.

4. Tap Done when finished.

How do I adjust the Iota motion sensor sensitivity?

1. In the Abode app, tap the Devices tab.

2. Tap the Iota Motion device.

3. Under Motion Sensor Sensitivity, adjust to your preferred level.

4. Tap Done.

How do I adjust the alarm duration?

1. In the Abode app, tap the Menu icon.

2. Tap System Settings, then Sound Settings.

3. Tap Alarm Duration and adjust to your preferred length.

What devices are compatible with the Iota?

All Abode security devices and sensors are compatible with the Iota, including door sensors, motion sensors, glass sensors, sirens, cameras, and more. A full list of verified compatible third-party devices is available on the Abode website. You can also connect additional devices through integrations with Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant.

How do I add additional devices?

The devices included in the Iota Kit are already paired. To add more:

1. In the Abode app, tap the Menu icon.

2. Tap Add Device.

3. Select the correct category and follow the in-app prompts.

How do I update my Iota to a different Wi-Fi network?

1. In the Abode app, tap the Menu icon.

2. Tap Hub Internet Connection.

3. Select the new Wi-Fi network, enter the password, and tap Connect.

I am moving. How do I update my address?

If you are leaving your system behind for new occupants or want to transfer ownership, contact Abode support at support@goabode.com. If you are moving into a home with an existing Abode system, the support team can provide instructions to activate it under your account.
