A Quick Action is a manually triggered automation with no conditions or triggers involved. You activate it yourself with a single tap in the app, from a widget on your phone home screen, or by asking Siri. Quick Actions are perfect for scenes like Goodnight or Good Morning that you want to run on demand.
Creating a Quick Action
1. In the Abode app, tap Automations from the bottom navigation.
2. Tap the + button at the top right, then tap Create Quick Action.
3. Add the actions you want from the available list. You can select multiple actions.
4. Name your Quick Action at the top and tap Save.
Adding a Quick Action to your Dashboard
1. Go to the Dashboard tab in the Abode app.
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Edit Dashboard.
3. Locate the Quick Actions Widget or tap Add Widget and select Quick Actions.
4. On the Edit Quick Actions page, tap + to add a Quick Action or - to remove one.
5. Reorder Quick Actions by pressing and holding the handle icon and dragging to the desired position.
Adding a Quick Action to iOS Shortcuts
You can add any Quick Action to the iOS Shortcuts app, which lets you trigger it from your home screen or by asking Siri.
1. Install the Shortcuts app from the App Store if it is not already on your device.
2. Tap the + button in the top right to create a new shortcut.
3. Name the shortcut. This name is what you say to Siri to run it, for example: Hey Siri, Good Morning.
4. Tap the icon on the top left to add a custom icon and color.
5. Tap Add Action, then search for Abode and select your Quick Action.
6. Tap the X to save the shortcut.
