Pairing Guide

The Abode Lock can be paired to either a 2.4GHz or 5GHzWi-Fi network to operate correctly.

Prior to pairing

Note the side of the door you are mounting the Lock, and which way you need the Lever to turn to engage the deadbolt.

If you need the Abode Lock to turn counter clockwise (left side mounted) to engage and lock the deadbolt, ensure the Abode Lock is paired with the thumb lever turned fully to the counter clockwise (left) position.

If you need the Abode Lock to turn clockwise to engage and lock the deadbolt, ensure the Abode Lock is paired with the Thumb Lever turned fully to the clockwise (right) position.

Removing the Front Cover

To remove the front cover of the Lock, and insert the battery, squeeze both sides of the front cover, and push on the Thumb Lever. This will push the main body of the Lock out from the front cover.

The front cover fits easily back over the top when ready.

Using the Abode Lock

The Abode Lock can be controlled from the Abode app manually, or can be used with CUE Automations as an Action item.

Users, PINs and Fingerprints

Under the device settings within the mobile app, there is a section called 'Access Control'. Up to 10 users can be added to each lock, and can be set up as either:

  • Permanent User

  • One Time User

  • Scheduled User

Each user can be set up with an individual PIN, and can also set an individual fingerprint.

As the Account holder needs to set up user access, both the Account Holder and User need to be present to program fingerprint access

Locking the Lock

The lock can be locked from within the app, or via a CUE Automation.

If you do not have access to the app, you can lock the lock using a key, or by holding down a single numeric keypad button for approx 5 seconds.

Your PIN and Fingerprint will not lock the lock, only unlock it.

Auto Lock

The Lock has a feature that you can use that will auto lock the Abode Lock after a set amount of time.
This can be turned on, and the time adjusted, from the settings for the lock within the app.

Time delay can range from 10 seconds to 30 minutes.
