The Abode Color Bulb is a smart RGB bulb that works as a standalone device or alongside an existing Abode system. You can control it from the Abode app, automate it with CUE, and use it with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
! | NOTE Color Bulbs can only be paired using the Abode mobile app. Pairing via the web app is not supported. |
Pairing your Color Bulb
1. Download the Abode app and make sure it is up to date.
2. Install the Color Bulb into a lamp or light fixture and power the lamp on. Keep the light switch in the on position.
3. Open the Abode app and tap the Menu icon in the top left corner. Tap Add Device, then Smart Home, then Abode Color Bulb.
4. Enter the name and password for your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Make sure the bulb will be installed in an area with a strong Wi-Fi signal.
5. The bulb will begin linking with your Abode account. This may take up to 30 seconds. If the bulb pulses red, the Wi-Fi connection was unsuccessful — check your network name and password and start the process again.

7. If a new firmware version is available, the bulb will update automatically at this step. Keep the bulb connected to power. The bulb will pulse orange while updating.
