Will the bulb work without an Abode hub (Security Hub or Iota Hub)?
Yes


How many bulbs can I connect to the Gateway?
There is no hard set limitation


Can I automate the bulb to change colors and the brightness?
Yes, with CUE Automations you can. CUE requires the Standard or Pro plan.


Can I use the bulb outdoors?
The bulb is moisture resistant, but not IP rated or waterproof. Prolonged exposure to the elements may present problems, however the bulb may be used outdoors in a light fixture that protects it from direct water but is well ventilated.


Is the bulb compatible with HomeKit, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant?
The bulb will work with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. There are no plans to integrate Color Bulb with HomeKit at this time.


Does the bulb connect to Wi-Fi or AbodeRF?
The bulb connects via 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Initial connection during the setup process is through Bluetooth.


Is the bulb weatherproof?
The bulb is moisture resistant, but not waterproof rated


What is the min and max working temperature of the bulb?
-4° to 104° Fahrenheit


Can I control the bulb with my Z-Wave dimmers?
No


Is the bulb compatible with a 3 way lamp?
No


What is the expected life of the smart bulb?
22.8 years based on 3 hours per day


How do I pair the bulb?
Follow the on screen prompts within the Abode App. The bulb cannot be paired via the Abode Web App. For detailed setup instructions refer to the Setup Guide here.


How do I reset the bulb?
First, delete the bulb from your Abode App in the Devices menu. Power the bulb ON and OFF 3 times in quick succession at the light switch level. The bulb will pulse blue once reset.


Can I control multiple bulbs at the same time in a group?
You can control a grouping of bulbs at the same time via CUE Automations.


What is the minimum and maximum brightness level?
The bulb brightness is adjustable up to 800 lumens


Is the bulb compatible with IFTTT?

What happens if I loose power/ internet?
If power is lost the bulb will turn off. When restored, it will return to the previous known setting. If you lose internet only, you will lose the ability to control the bulb through the Abode App, however you can still turn the bulb on and off via the power switch.
