If you want to see how your system works during an alarm situation, it is easy to test. Familiarizing yourself with the sound of the siren and the alarm verification process is a good idea, and testing will allow you to adjust any countdown timers you may have in place.
Running a test

1. In the Abode app, navigate to Menu, Profile, Pro Monitoring and toggle the Test Mode option to ON. This sets your system to Test Mode for 30 minutes. While in Test Mode, you will not receive a confirmation phone call from the monitoring center.
2. From the Abode app, arm your system to either Home or Away mode.
3. Once your system is armed, initiate a test that would trigger an alarm, such as opening a door or window with a door sensor installed, or stepping in front of a motion sensor.
4. In the Abode app, disarm your system to Standby mode and disable the alarm. Repeat as many times as needed.
