If you want to see how your system works during an alarm situation it's easy to test.
Familiarising yourself with the sound of the siren and alarm verification process is a good idea, and testing will allow you to adjust any countdown timers you may have in place.
Follow the easy steps below to run your own tests:
If you're self-monitoring skip step to step 2.
On your mobile app, navigate to Menu > Profile > Pro Monitoring and toggle the 'Test Mode' option to ON. This will set your system to Test Mode for 30 minutes.
Please note that while in Test Mode, you will not receive a confirmation phone call from the Monitoring Centre.From the mobile app arm your system to either Home or Away mode.
Once your system has been armed initiate a test that would trigger an alarm, such as opening a door or window that has a door sensor installed, or stepping in front of a motion sensor.
In the mobile app disarm your system to Standby mode and disable the alarm. Repeat as many times as needed.
